AUSTRALIA’S Chris Sutton took out the final stage of the Santos Tour Down Under with Team Sky leading the way.
Sutton’s Sky team-mate Greg Henderson finished in second to take Henderson to third overall and give Team Sky a place on the winners podium on their stage racing debut.
Greipel, the overall winner, finished fifth imn the final stage to help retain his 11 second overall lead.
Greipel last year missed four months with shoulder surgery.
American cycling great Lance Armstrong finished 16 seconds from the winner to finish in 25the place overall.
“I’m really happy, and for the team as well,” Greipel told the media.
“The team did a really good job the last week. I’m just really happy.”
“We took control with around two kilometres to go and we just had the perfect lead-out,” Sutton told the media.
”I just went as long as I could and I just held on, I kicked and went for it and we went one-two which was incredible. We’re a new team, everyone’s working well together. It’s all about teamwork.”
