When you’re serious about riding and find yourself pedaling for more than five hours a day, almost everyday, it is essential you have a bloody good pair of gloves!

Within the industry, Tuff Gloves are widely regarded as one of the most comfortable and best designed cycling mitts on the market.

Manufactured in Australia and stitched together using the latest in high-tech materials, Tuff Gloves give riders everything they need, and even a little more.

Some of the great features the T1-007 Race Fit glove offers, include a Vibration Sensor pad that keeps pressure off the nerves, and reduces numbness to allow riders to cycle harder, for longer.

The gloves also have a griptonite palm base, which gives increased sensitivity and a non-slip grip to the rider.

However, probably the best little feature of a pair of Tuff Gloves, is their use of Eezee Loops.

In basic terms, Eezee Loops are miniature loops in between the fingers of the gloves to help the rider take them off without pulling and pulling like an idiot.

The latest in high-end cycling comfort, Giordana Carbon gloves use Ametista fabric to protect and regulate the temperature in your hands.

Ametista is a lightweight material that is terrific at wicking moisture and stretches in every direction in order to find an excellent fit with your hand shape.

In order to increase the breathability factor and allow your hands access to airflow, the Giordana Carbon is fitted with MCK mesh along the back of the hand.

And to take care of sweat drips, the thumb is built of terry cloth.

Finally, the comfort level is assured with durable leather and light padding built into the palm.

The slip-on design of the Giordana Carbon means you don’t need to worry about mucking about with fasteners or Velcro.

If you need a versatile glove that keeps the worst of the cold weather out and offers protection from the sun on hot days, the DeFeet Duraglove could be your best option.

The Duraglove is a lightweight knit of durable cordura nylon and is sturdy enough to put up with a number of abrasions.

Weighing only 62 grams, the Duraglove isn’t a burden to wear or carry in your bag. Another good use for the Duraglove is to wear as a glove liner on really cold days, underneath more heavy-duty gloves.

The sturdy grip patches on the palms of the gloves also come in handy, and make the gloves useful for other exercises besides cycling (hiking, climbing, orienteering etc).

Last but not least, the gloves will keep sweat from annoying you because of the moisture wicking material and quality design.

Pearl Izumi manufactured its Gel Vent gloves with a particular type of bike rider in mind – the one that gets serious discomfort from constant road shock.

The shock absorbing 3D gel inserts and vented palm of the Gel Vent glove make riding long distances over bumpy roads no more difficult than taking to the velodrome.

Special moisture wicking fabric across the back of the hand helps reduce the irritation of sweat, and the microfleece wiping surface attached to the thumb allows you to keep sweat out of your eyes.

Some do not like the fact that you must pull the gloves on and off, as opposed to the velcro counterparts.
